Permanent Exterior Lighting, Done Right

Our core work is permanent exterior lighting installation: LED nodes in an aluminum channel fastened under the drip edge or along the fascia, wired back to a weather-rated power supply and an app-controlled controller. With 5 years in business behind us, our crew is licensed and insured for work at height on your home exterior. Every system is planned around your roofline, your outdoor outlet and how you actually want to use the lights, from warm white every night to colors for the holidays.

    Permanent Lighting

Low-voltage LED lights mounted in a slim aluminum track along your roofline, set from your phone for holidays, game nights or plain warm white all year.

  • Technician seen from behind spraying cleaning solution on streaked gray vinyl siding, with a tank and pump on a truck bed and a ladder against the house

    Exterior Soft Wash

A low-pressure soft wash that kills algae and mildew at the root, protects plants and fixtures, and rinses your siding clean without forcing water behind it.

  • Roof Treatments

A low-pressure treatment that kills the algae, moss and lichen on your shingles at the root, applied by a crew that works tied off and protects your plantings.

  • Gutter Clearing

We hand-clear gutters, flush every downspout and check hangers and seams, working from stabilized ladders that never lean on the gutter itself.

  • Exterior Glass Care

Exterior glass, frames, screens and sills washed with purified water, mostly from the ground, so your panes come out clear and nobody takes needless risks on a ladder.

  • Hardscape Cleaning

Driveways, walks, patios and steps cleaned with a hooded rotary cleaner and low pressure, so algae and stains come off without etching concrete or washing out paver sand.

How an Install Runs

Most homes go from first call to lights on in a short, predictable sequence. Here is what to expect.

  1. 1

    Phone call and free quote

You describe your home, the rooflines you want lit and how you picture using the system. We then book a visit to measure, inspect the outlet and fascia, and put together your free quote.

  2. 2

    Layout and color planning

We map the track runs, where the power supply and controller will sit, and how many zones make sense. You see the plan before we order anything.

  3. 3

    Install day

We set ladders with standoffs, mount the track under the drip edge or along the fascia, and route low-voltage cable down a corner or downspout to the power supply. Ground-level work areas are kept clear of tools and offcuts.

  4. 4

    Testing and app setup

We power up each zone, check every fixture for color and brightness, and connect the controller to your Wi-Fi. Then we walk you through schedules, scenes and holiday presets on your own phone.

About Lighting Contractor Niskayuna

We are a local permanent lighting company that puts LED track on rooflines around the Capital Region. Along the way we have seen what goes wrong with rushed installs: track screwed into soft fascia that pulls loose under snow load, power supplies plugged into unprotected outlets, cables left dangling where kids and pets play.

So we work the other way. We check the structure first, keep line voltage off the roof, use proper ladder setups on every elevation and explain why each step matters. Freeze and thaw cycles put ice along every eave each winter, and a careful install is what keeps your lights working and your house undamaged through all of it.

What Moves the Price of a Permanent Lighting Install

Every quote is built from your home's measurements and conditions, not a flat package. These are the things that change the number most.

We measure your roofline, check the power source and trim, and then give you a free written quote by phone with the scope spelled out, so you know what is included before you say yes.

Linear feet of roofline
The total run of track and fixtures is the biggest driver. A simple ranch eave and a colonial with dormers and multiple gables are very different jobs.
Roof height and pitch
Second-story eaves, steep gables and rooflines over decks or slopes need taller ladders, more setup time and extra care at each position.
Trim and fascia condition
Track needs solid wood or aluminum behind it. Rotted fascia or loose gutter brackets have to be addressed before we mount anything.
Power location
A GFCI outlet close to where the system starts keeps things simple. A long run to the nearest outlet, or no usable outlet at all, adds materials and labor.
Zones and controls
Splitting the house into separately controlled sections, such as front and back or garage and main roof, adds controller capacity and wiring.
Season and weather
We schedule around ice and snow for safety. Booking in spring, summer or early fall gives the most flexibility on install dates.

Why Homeowners Choose Us

Roofline work means ladders, height and electricity outside in all kinds of weather. We built our process so the risky parts are handled carefully and nothing is left for you to worry about later.

  1. 01

Ladder work planned before we climb

We look at the ground under every ladder position, use standoffs so ladders never rest on your gutters, and keep a second person footing the base. We do not walk wet, icy or frost-covered shingles.

  2. 02

    Low-voltage power on the roofline

The fixtures on your house run on low-voltage DC from a power supply mounted near a GFCI-protected outlet. That keeps line voltage off the roof edge and away from wet gutters.

  3. 03

    No holes through your shingles

The track mounts to the fascia or the underside of the drip edge with corrosion-resistant screws. Nothing pierces the roofing itself, so the install does not create a new path for water.

  4. 04

    Wiring you never trip over

Cable runs follow downspouts and trim lines and are clipped tight, so there are no loose cords across walkways, decks or the lawn mower's path.

  5. 05

An honest look at your outlet and trim

If your exterior outlet lacks GFCI protection or your fascia board is soft, we show you what we found with photos before any work starts, so you can decide what to fix first.

What Homeowners Want to Know

Something not covered here? (518) 832-5306

Can permanent lights stay up on the house year-round?

Yes, as long as the install is done properly. The lights run on low-voltage DC, the power supply is placed by a GFCI-protected outlet, and the track is sealed against rain and snow. It stays up in every season, and you switch it on only when you want light.

Does installing the lights harm my roof or gutters?

No. The track is fastened to the fascia or beneath the drip edge with screws that resist corrosion, and we never drill into shingles. Standoffs on our ladders put the weight on the wall or roof edge, so your gutters are not crushed.

Do the lights survive a long, cold winter?

Cold weather is what they are made for. The channel is narrow and tucked under the eave, so snow sliding off the roof goes past it instead of catching. Ice does load whatever the track is screwed into, which is why we check that the fascia is solid before mounting. Sound wood holds each screw tight through freeze after thaw.

What do I use to run the lights?

An app on your phone runs the whole system. Set schedules for each night, use warm white day to day, and change to colors or patterns for holidays and game days. We get it set up together with you before we head out.

Does the lighting come with a warranty?

It does. The products we put up carry a 10-year product warranty, and we explain what it covers when we go over your quote by phone.

Does someone need to be home while you install?

For most of the day, no. We need to reach the exterior outlet and the spot where the power supply goes, and we need someone there at the end to go through the app. Please keep kids and pets indoors or clear of the ladder areas while we work.

Will the neighbors find the lights too bright?

Not unless you want them that way. You set the brightness in the app, and the fixtures aim down and outward from under the eave instead of at the houses across the street. Lots of owners keep a gentle warm white turned down on ordinary nights and go full brightness only for holidays.

What is the first step to get a price?

Give us a call and we will book a time to measure the roofline and look at your power source. The quote costs nothing, and we walk through it with you by phone so you know the scope and the cost before anything goes on the calendar.
