About Our Permanent Lighting Work in Niskayuna
We are a licensed and insured lighting contractor that installs permanent lighting on home exteriors. Every job is planned around two things: keeping people safe on ladders and rooflines, and leaving you with a low-voltage system that runs year-round without loose wires, hot spots or water in the connections.

Five Years of Roofline Work, Done the Careful Way
We have been in business 5 years, and most of that time has been spent on ladders along fascia boards and gutters. That work taught us where roofline lighting goes wrong. The failures we see on other systems usually trace back to a few causes: unsealed connectors, power supplies plugged into outlets without GFCI protection, and track screwed straight through shingles where water can follow the fastener.
So we built our process to avoid them. The lights sit in a slim aluminum channel mounted to the fascia or trim, not to the roof surface. Every splice gets a weatherproof connector and a drip loop, so meltwater runs off instead of into the joint. The power supply converts household current to low-voltage DC at a protected outlet, which means the line along your roofline carries far less shock risk than a string of plug-in holiday lights.
The result is an app-controlled system you can set for holidays, a backyard party or plain white light by the front door, then leave up through winter. Snow load, ice and freeze-thaw cycles are the real test for any Capital Region roofline, and we choose mounts and wire routing with that in mind so the channel stays put and the connections stay dry.

How We Keep Every Job Safe
Ladder setup comes first
We use standoffs so ladders rest against the wall, not your gutters, and we set them on level ground or leveling legs. On steep or second-story rooflines we use fall protection. If a section can't be reached safely, we tell you and plan around it instead of taking the risk.
Low voltage from the outlet out
Only the power supply handles 120-volt current, and it plugs into a GFCI-protected exterior outlet that we test first. Everything on the roofline runs low-voltage DC. If an outlet is worn, loose or ungrounded, we point it out before we connect anything.
Nothing through the roof surface
We fasten to fascia, trim or the back edge of the gutter, never through shingles. That keeps water out of your roof deck and lets the channel come off cleanly later.
A clear walkthrough at the end
Before we leave, we show you where the power supply sits, how the app works and how to shut the system off. We also pick up clips, wire trimmings and packaging from your beds and walkways.
